December 29
Well things are starting to get organized and more back to normal. I finally sat down and uploaded our Christmas pics. Thought I would share a few. The boys had so much fun making snowmen. It was perfect wet packing snow on Christmas day. It has been busy this week and I've gotten very little made in the way of beads. It feels good to take the week off and have no pressures to fill orders. I promise to be back in kind of full swing next week. The boys will still be home a few of the days so on Thursday the normal routine will be back in play. Hope you all have a wonderful New Year's!

Dec. 27: Wow! What an incredible last few days. Christmas Day was wonderful. I went to bed with it raining and when we woke up in the morning, there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground. It was just beautiful. You couldn't have asked for anything better. The boys had a great time opening gifts. Connor got a dirt bike, Keegan got loaded down with Harry Potter clothes, brooms, wands, etc, and Caiden scored with a ball pit which he is in 7th heaven over and a kitchen set. I just walked around in a daze yesterday with toys, boxes, stuff everywhere. It was so overwhelming. But we got our live dead tree taken down and the majority of the Christmas decorations down and I'm starting to feel more organized. The kids are off school until Jan. 4 so it will be fun having them around all week. I'll strangle them if they claim to get bored. There are just toys everywhere. A child's dream!

I hope everyone enjoys their week and takes some time to relax and enjoy their family. My plan is to take this week off from beads. Although I will probably sneak in a few here and there just because I love making them:-)

Dec. 24: Well, Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day with your family and friends.

It's a good thing I ran into the grocery store last night to buy carrots for Santa's reindeer. We went out for Mexican food and then I made my hubby drop me off at the grocery store. He was complaining about it but I went anyway. Good thing I did because when I went to check out, my wallet wasn't in my purse. So I had to go back to the car and grab cash from dear hubby. I went back to the restaurant and some how it had fallen out of my purse and was under the booth seat. I had to bother the people that were eating at the table as I crawled under the chair to retrieve it. I was just so relieved that it was there. No telling when I would have discovered it missing if it wasn't for that short trip for carrots!

Dec. 22: Well the Wrapping Fairy has never made it to my house. I think all my friends tried to intercept her arrival so that they could use her first. So, I broke down and started wrapping presents yesterday. I'll try to finish the rest this morning. Today is the kids last day of school and my hubby and I are helping at the "Winter Party".

Connor's kindergarten teacher has the cutest dog named "Candy" so I made her some fun beads for a necklace. I should have taken a photo of the necklace but it is all wrapped up now. I love the paw prints. Something fun and different.

Dec. 19th: Well, I see that Toys R Us removed the $5 coupon from the web site. What bad luck. Sorry about that!

I just listed a small lampwork bead set in the boutique. Perfect for the last minute gift you might need. I will mail these priority mail as soon as they are sold.

I'm just sitting here with a sick child home from school and a 20 month old wondering when the gift fairy is going to come and wrap all these presents for me. I need to get all the teacher gifts for school wrapped up too. I'm sure you all are starting to feel like me and the pressure of needing to get bookin and cross off the items on the to do list.

Dec. 16th: Well you guys will either thank me or yell at me for not posting this sooner. I kept meaning to do it but would forget. There are a lot of last minute shoppers so I'm showing you a link for a printable coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase at Toys R Us. I tried to do this yesterday but had it all messed up. Sorry about that! So anyway..... lets try again. Just click on the photo of my 3 happy boys in front of the christmas tree and it will take you to the coupon link. Happy shopping! Only 8 days left!

December 11: What a lazy day Saturday seemed like. I know I rushed around all day and managed even to get about 10 supply page orders packed and shipped before the post office closed, but I wasn't able to get much bead work done until the evening. Randy made some progress on the supply page and we now have 5 dangle bracelet kits available!! The directions are detail and I wanted to make sure that even someone new to jewelry design would be able to understand directions. The kit will also include pics on wire wrapping and other beading techniques required to complete the bracelet. Extra sdetail walk through and live instruction is provided on the Making Dangles video of anyone wants extra help. And as a special, any on buying the video with a bead kit will get and $8 credit back. We also added some pretty pearls in several colors as well. I really scored on some more awesome vintage Czech beads coming up soon. These are totally cool orange spines. I've been selling the green ones like crazy but I still have plenty. When I find ones I like I'm buying them in lots of thousands because I know I won't be able to get them anymore,

Other than that, its cold. The kids have been playing in the couple of inches of snow we had here for the last day or two but its about gone. Anyone have bird feeders? I've seen stores devoted to nothing but bird feeding enthusiests and coupldn't figure that interest out. Well, I went and bought a couple of feeders and put them out and WOW, I have woodpeckers, flickers, finches of all types, red birds, and many others all fighting over the food. Its really quite entertaining...especially watching the squirrels doing acrobats trying to get to the feeders.

I'm sure you are all as busy as I am. It just seems to be crazy around here. Between Christmas shopping, kids birthday parties (2 this week), bead orders, hubby being away on business for 4 days, I'm just plum worn out. I tried to stay awake late to work but then these past two nights I'm paying for it. I knew I was in bad shape when at 12:45 a.m. on Monday night, I'm standing at the kitchen counter eating left over KFC Chicken and cole slaw! Isnt' that just terrible?!

Not too much new to report here. I think I have a few more bracelet kits to add over the weekend and I just ordered a nice selection of cool beads for the supplies page. So there will be lots of new goodies added soon. That is my hubby's job and he doesn't have the time to work as fast as I would like him to! I'll have to feed him some cookies. I still have updated bead sets and jewelry that I want to add to the galleries. I know it will all come in due time. I just like to cross things off my to do list. I don't know why I bother because it seems that when you cross one item off and then 5 more magically appear. Gotta love it!

December 3: Good grief! This whole week has just flown by. I don't think I slowed down at all. I'm happy to say that most of my Christmas shopping is done. There are a few things here and there but the big jobs are tackled. Except I still need to make bracelets for the boys' teachers. I went to a Christmas Cookie exchange last night. Lots of fun. I had to bring 6 doz homemade cookies so I'm sure you know what I was busy doing last week. It is safe to say the entire family is on a cookie sugar high today. That's what the big boys had for breakfast. Aren't I a terrible mom? We just got done decorating the Christmas tree this morning. I scored, while at the party last night, hubby took the boys to buy the tree and even put all the lights on it. I'm getting ready to go work on bead orders but wanted to wish you some Christmas cheer and share another appetizer recipe with you. You will love this one. It is so simple and tastes fantastic!

Stuffed Mushrooms

Oven temp: 375

1 lb of spicy ground sausage ( I buy the kind shaped in a log with the plastic wrap)
1 1/2 - 2 pounds of fresh mushrooms
1 package of cream cheese (softened)

Brown sausage in pan. while this is cooking, clean and remove stems from mushrooms. In a mixing bowl, place softened cream cheese and cooked sausage. With mixer, blend up the ingredients and stuff mushrooms with a spoonful. Place mushrooms on a cookie sheet and bake for about 15 min. I can't remember the time for sure. When you see the stuffing start to melt and turn slightly burn, they are done. Transfer to serving tray and enjoy!
