April 28th: Wow, has it really been that long since I've posted? Where did the time go? I know I have been treading water really fast to try to keep things afloat and don't feel like I'm pulling it off. Just one of those crazy busy few weeks. Doctor visits, dentist visits, swim lessons, soccor games, music practice, cub scouts, field trips, and then trying to put in work on top of it all. I still have some jewels that I want to get posted but that hasn't happened and I have new items to post over at Tickle Me Beads which hasn't happened... I'm about ready to pull out the timer again and set a time for each thing I want to do and then when the bell rings, move along to the next item on the list so that at least it is all getting done a tad. But...orders and purchases always take top notch and everything else gets pushed aside. I gave myself 15 min on the computer this morning before I needed to go make beads before I pick up Caiden from preschool. Which leaves me 8 min.

Oh yea... and bless hubby's heart... he felt that if I was going to get on FB that at least I should be doing it right and uploaded pics, videos, profile pic, etc and got me all nested in! But then I'm thinking what the heck was I doing joining facebook when I can't even keep up with the emails in my inbox let alone now trying to manage those notes too! But I must admit it is kind of fun and everyone says that after you've been on it for a bit, it slows down and doesn't become time consuming.

We had a beautiful weekend with warm weather. It was a tad windy but that was it. Six Flags has been open since March and we went on Sunday. It was great as it wasn't very crowded and it was the first day to really get out and walk around and enjoy the sun and warm weather. Oh.....and 9yr old Connor was feeling pretty special. He found a pair of $310 Prada sunglasses!!! They must have been sitting in the grass area for a long time as they had like flecks of paint on them but we got them all cleaned up. They are the real thing and have the serial number on the lens!

April 17th: I can honestly say that I never thought my mum would beat me in the interneting world! But YEP, it is true!

I finally took the time and the plunge to join face book. I've always been so busy that the thought of adding one more thing for me to focus on was just too much but I finally broke down and decided to do it. I had some invites sitting in my box waiting for me to become friends. So I added them and was looking at my one sweet friend's wall and then glanced at her friends list and saw that my Mom is her Face Book friend! How funny is that! so I talk to my mother about it and she starts rambling on about Face Book and how fun it is and my brother is on there and how he has posted all these fun pics from when he was younger and that I needed to go check it out (after I was accepted as his friend of course!) and how my cousins are on there and they are so funny and I had to see what they were writing!

So here they have been having alll this fun without me! Not anymore! But I have no clue what I'm doing! I was on there this morning and all of a sudden a box popped up saying hello from a friend that lives in Sweden! I haven't spoken to her since last summer and I had a nice 20min IM chat with her today. Sweet!

April 16th: I just posted some new two hole lampwork button beads over at the lampwork button section of Ticklemebeads.com Go check them out.

I just got back from a really fun MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers meeting) this morning. We had a guest speaker (who on the off chance happens to be my aunt also!). She spoke about "thank you cards etiqutete". It was a fantastic lecture and the best tag line of the entire discussion was "Thinking about writing a thank you letter is just as bad as buying and wrapping a gift but not giving it." How true is that? The jest is that the younger generations just don't take the time to express gratitude and thanksgiving by writing and sending thank you cards. It is so true and I must admit that though I do send out thank you cards, it isn't near as many as I should be doing. I often think "hey... I need to send that person a thank you card" and then get busy and never do. I'm making it a priority to send my gratitude in an expression of thank you cards at the top of my list of things to do!. Come join me!

April 13th: I'm ready to call it a night but wanted to pop in and say hello. Hope everyone had a nice Easter. It is still cold and rainy here but I think tomorrow it is finally supposed to start warming up and we might even see some sunshine! Haven't seen that in probably 3-4 days!

Poor Caiden came down with an ear infection. He told me today at 4:30 that his ear was hurting. I dropped everything and took him to the doctor before they closed. By the time we were ready to leave the office he was in so much pain. The doctor gave him the numbing drops and it didn't seem to make any difference. He cried and screamed the entire 25 min drive home. I put some more drops in his ears and he fell asleep around 6:30 pm on our bed. He is still there and hasn't moved. I think I'm just going to see if he will sleep through the night. I hated to wake him up in case his ears would start bothering him again. So hope it won't be a long night!

I keep having the best intentions of getting all my inventory listed but haven't seemed to be able to get around to it. I should make it a goal to list a few things at a time. That sounds easy enough right?

April 10th: Where did spring go? It is just COLD and rainy outside. I really really want the warm weather back!

I popped on the St. Louis Ronald McDonald House website and they had photos posted from the fund raiser. I found this one of my cousin and I at the booth. I'm on the right side with the bad flat hair!

I've listed some jewels on the boutique page. Lots more goodies to come.

April 6: Good grief. We had snow today. For a few hours in the morning and then some more tonight. It is April!! I thought we were done with the cold weather. Go away!

I've gotten some nice emails about my booth display and a few questions so I thought I would share a few things. I am NO expert on shows and booth set ups. Especially since I had a special booth designed about 4 years ago and this is the first time I've used it. Same thing with my posters. But... for the 2 layer black part that you see in the photo, that came from abstracta.com Mine is modeled like the one on the link. They were very easy to work with. I changed the height though and made it taller than the stock choices. The rep was very kind and easy to work with. Since the table was already provided at the show, I just used the top part and it seemed to work well on the 6 foot table.

Then my poster on the front of the table is just a jpg file that I took to Kinkos and had them print and mount on foam core. It turned out wonderful and the print quality is lovely but they charged a small fortune for it and I recommend shopping around to find something less expensive.

April 4th: Whew... I made it through last night. Except I got home late and then had to get up and going early for the kids soccer games. Caiden played soccer for the first time today. It was so cute! Although... I had to rearrange his thinking. He had it in his mind that he is doing great if he knocks kids down! He came running up to me saying Mom.. I got 2 kids down! I think he might be better at football!

So here are a few pics of my table. It was a pretty simple set up. I couldn't believe how much jewelry I had. I didn't realize it was so much until I started pulling it out. I tried to make at least a few pieces every day and just wrapped them up and tossed them in a bucket when I was done. I didn't even put everything out on the table as there wasn't enough room! Which means that I will be posting lots of goodies for sale here!

The show was good. Not horrible but not fantastic. It was a sold out crowd and a fund rasier for the Ronald McDonald House. The theme was Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and it seemed like everyone was having a great time. My sweet cousin helped me out and it was great to hang out with her for a few hours. I laughed this morning as I bumped into her, my other cousin, and my aunt at the soccer fields this morning! Their kids had games too today. I told her I guess I should have asked what she was doing today!
